anyway, I saw this one and immediately fell in love with it! this girl is really awesome!! i can't believe that a voice like hers exists.. check her channel out and you'll find her redoing songs of your fave artists., from beyonce to leona to mariah and many more...

I chose to post this Vid because the song means a lot to me.. Honestly, i never really paid any attention to this song when it was still hot in the airwaves.. I just find it forgettable.... until, that is, SOMEONE special sang it to me (i really hoped and is still hoping it was for me)...

(I wrote this thing about 6 months ago.. i dunno.. it all just came into my mind and besides, i was really bored at that time so i decided to entertain my self.. hope u like it!

Here goes....)

Everyone is struggling for a love life. The world seems to be a battleground where each human being has a mission of finding their “soulmates”. People think that they are incapable of living alone with no partner. And with that, a dramatic increase of couples is evident nowadays. everywhere you look, lovers are present. Go stroll in a mall and you’ll witness lovestories of different kinds; be it boy-meets girl, or girl-meets-boy, or boy-bumps-into-girl, or girl-bumps-into-boy-intentionally, or girl-texts-boy-for-eyeball, or boy-meets-boy, or girl-meets-mr. millionaire-and-plans-to-hook-em-up (wait, that’s not love, that’s plain greed), and the list continues.

Or you could go to the park and witness tikboy’s proclamation of undying love to inday during their day off from mrs. cheng’s tyrannic means of housekeeping. Even dogs nowadays are boisterous about their affairs. You could see them having sex on a nearby sari-sari store cheered by the drunk bystanders, or in front of curious school children in a kindergarten school, or in front of the church where the priest is distracted by the ongoing “live show”. Such immoral Act! but at least they’re dogs. imagine if they're humans!! that would be really disturbing … not to mention educational.. (wink). anyway, that’s not the point. the points is, what’s the point of finding your lifetime partner when you would end up with tons of paperwork and a heck of a lawyer’s fee just to be single again? are we really looking for love?or are e just challenged by the whole hey-im-still-single-need-to-find-lover-stat thing?

Tit. Tit. Tit. Huh? aht the-? oh! i forgot! today’s sunday! i have to go to the review center. i need to get up! or im gonna be late.. 1..2…arrrgghh!! i cant!.. Sigh.. okay, i’ll sleep for another 5 minutes.. that wouldn’t hurt.. i think..

Sunday.. a day for most lovers to enjoy love without any interruptions. I wonder where they would spend their dates? Mooon cafe? starbucks? Cafe laguna? jollibee? Kfc? Ngoihiong haus? julies? oh well, at least they think they’re in love.. how stup-..

Tit. tit. tit. What is it again? that stupid alarm! where is that? huh? what?! I’m late!!! I’m late!! i need to hurry!! so much for love thoughts, i need to focus on my review…

25 Random Things, A lesson and goodbyes...

Hello guys.. been very busy lately, so i really don't have the time to update my blog.. anyway, here i am once again, trying to fill in the gaps.. u ready? hehek..

First of all, i want you to know 25 random things about me.. I got this from facebook and I think this is worth blogging for.. anyhow, here they are:

1. I take a bath for 45 minutes!

2. I don't like vegetables! (not a good role model.. i know)

3. I like sleeping in the toilet.. (yah yah.. whatever)

4. I bite my fingers when I'm anxious..

5. I have callouses on my fingers due to number 4...

6. I'm a COKE (the beverage) addict!!!

7.I always come late on appointments/dates...

8. I cry when I'm mad.. i dunno.. i just can't help it...

9. I have friends who nag me all the time.. and i am somewhat thankful, for they taught me a lot.

10. I love watching Horror/slasher flicks (they make me fee ALIVE.. Muahahahahahahah!)

12. I don't like how cockroaches taste.. (waaaahhhhhhhh!!)

13. I've lost 5 phones in four years.. (but that doesn't mean I'm "tanga".. I was just mentally preoccupied at that time)

15. I have a very peculiar penmanship.. (that's a nice way of putting it.. rather than saying "my penmanship is unreadable".. hehek)

16. I have renal calculi.. (but i think they're gone now..)

17. I love making people laugh!!! (coz u get to see their gums.. and u can tell who's healthy or not.. wahhahah)

18. I like making movies!! (a frustrated movie director)

22. I courted my crush when I was still in Grade 5.. and guess what? I GOT BUSTED!

23. I hate the teletubbies!!! (i think they're a bunch of morons. and tinkie winky scares the heck out of me..)

Last friday, someone "really Special" taught me HOW TO DECIDE FOR MY SELF... and with that, I wanna Thank him...

"It's really hard to say goodbye to someone you are comfortable with.. It pains me to think that I wont be able to hold that person's hand for a long time, or listen to that person's voice, or see how that person laughs or smiles.. but, i guess i'll have to endure it.. coz the thought of seeing that person in the future keeps me alive"

The Prophecy... (my Second serving of film directing and editing)

And JAred-the-frustrated-director strikes again!! (Honestly, i really thought that i will never be able to direct any films since the second year movie ever again! Sob! hehehk) But guess what? our advisers asked to me to make a concept for a class prophecy for the seniors! (i lOved them ever since!) Plus, it will be presented during Prom night!! ( I was still in 3rd year college at that time)..

Anyway, I was like "HEck! are they really sure they want me to do it?" ( I really don't think i could come out with something spectacular, you know).. so, they gave me THREE WEEKS to conceptualize... and that TIME really did serve its purpose.. moving on, a friend of mine (katrina) suggested that i make a mini film! that freaked me out! with the time span of TWO weeks prior to the actual prom, i really don't think that the film would make it! (it's the EDIting part that makes movie making time-consuming.. so don't fret when the release of "NEW MOON" will be postponed from it's original date.. that only means the production staff are cooking something really BIG!) Anyhow, Kat kept on encouraging me to make a mini film, so I decided "hey. why not make a mini "award Show"? (ala OSCARS).. and the rest is history.... (i sound as if im making a Blockbuster picture here! hehehk... bleh!!)

So, here's the clip that i've been dying to show you guys!! I do hope you like it!! (FYI: the whole thing is made up of 10 mini clips with 10 different concepts.. I shot it with a JVC DVD cam and edited it using Sony VEGAS pro 8... and, u can skip the "names" part if u want....)




Believe it or not, this was taken at the MED-Surge room.. (a very small room where students do their return demonstrations for OR and DR).. my classmates and I converted the room into a "set" in 5 hours..and the shoot went on for two days (with breaks in between, of course).. anyway, my sincerest "thank you!" to all those who participated during the shoot, the actors, my friends/ L-sessioners( the cheerers/set designer/make up artists/motivators), MAra (the official make-up artist and head stylist), Joab (for letting me stay over at his house for 2 days during the whole "editing" thing), Mr comia (for the advice on VEGAS), Kat (for the nag. hehek).. and the Faculty for letting me use the med surg room up to 7pm for two days! (the college usually closes at 5pm daily)

My Very First Movie!!!!

hello guys.. just want to share something.... hehek

Anyway, i made this movie as a completion for our ENGLISH II requirements (I wonder why our professor required us to shoot a VISAYAN-Dialect- film? weird huh?) .. ahhmm, i was still in 2nd year college then, so expect my first movie to be amateurish and cheesy.. hhehehkk..







I really had fun shooting this film.. this was the time that i really got to experience how to become a movie director (my long-time dream). I was very glad that the actors were superb and the production staff we're so supportive, even though we were all very busy with other matters (2nd year BSN in CCMC is not a JOKE.. It stresses the heck out of you)... And us Garnering the HIGHEST grade during the mini film festival was the cherry on top of the cake! hehehk.. (thnx to Mr. Pierre Jabagat for being an excellent cameraman)

Sedentary...

I had nothing much to do today.. i spent my whole morning sleeping.. then i woke up to eat lunch.. slept for a couple of minutes.. woke up again.... urggghhhh.. what a rotuine..

KIWI.... The Best 3-minute 3D Animated Clip Ever!!!

it's already 2:15 am and i am still here, awake and surfing the net. i guess the premise of "No CLASS tomorrow" served as my caffeine and keeps the adrenaline rushing.. hehek..

Anyway, i was browsing youtube a while ago to look for movies worth blogging for.. then i typed the word 3d animation.. I came across a link which was labeled "KIWI", it was just a short animated clip in a 3D format.. I opened it thinking it was a teaser trailer for some kind of big-time Pixar or Dreamworks film... I was a bit dissapointed when i learned that it was a school thesis for a student studying at The School of Visual Arts, MFA Computer Art, in New York City. since it was just for three minutes, i decided to watch it.. after all, i was also curious bout the whole "kiwi" thing..

After watching the clip.... MY outlook in Life Changed... i was shocked at how a short clip can cause a great impact in your life...

And i stopped searching for movies to blog.. coz i know this is what ive been looking...

So, here is the clip straight from youtube.. it's animation is superb but what i am after about is the story line.... (prepare tissues, you might need some)

Im sorry for the delayed post.. I got unexpectedly busy yesterday.. so many things to do, so little time…

I was in the middle of an examination when my mom called me. I went out to answer my phone. She was crying and sobbing on the other line.. I freaked out! I was like “shit!! Did somebody die? Or “is somebody ill?”. After for what seemed like 5 minutes of calming her down… she blurted the news : FLAG GOT HIT BY A CAR AND DIED…

I went silent….

Flag.. my pet cat.. my favorite pet cat to be exact (currently, we have 12 cats at home) just died.. how sad… he was such a good cat.. he was the only cat who was able to interact with people without pissing them off. He would jump on your lap and sleep as if he knew that you wouldn’t hurt him.. he knows how to open our door if nobody would let him in.. and he loves to sleep behind the cpu, where he would constantly get electrocuted by the wirings.. (I usually laugh when I remembered these events, but right now, it saddens me..)

I immediately texted my bro and sis bout the accident.. they too, were saddened by what happened… They also liked Flag.. We went home immediately after our classes to comfort mom and to get more details on what exactly happened..

No matter how silly it is for our family to grieve over our cat, Flag became a part of our lives, whether we admit it or not.

I searched on the net yesterday to look for quotes to comfort my mom, and here is what I found. This is from the movie The curious Case of Benjamin Button (one of my faves!). this was during a scene where Benjamin was talking to Mrs maple. about death and this is what she said:

“Benjamin, we're meant to lose the people we love. How else would we know how important they are to us?”

And this too…

“You can be as mad as a mad dog at the way things went. You could swear, curse the fates, but when it comes to the end, you have to let go.”

There.. weird right?

Lollipops, Mara and "The Friend"

Last sunday, we had our Nsg review at rivergate.. as usual it went well, in the first half that is.. but later, it got really boring.. good thing was that, the previous night, i bought like a dozen of chupa chups lollipops. i had an inkling that i might need those during the review. and i did!! they served as my antidotes for boredom. (FYI: glucose is the only food for the brain.. since lollipop is made of sugar (glucose) ergo, increased capacity of the brain to process information.. though i am at high risk for hyperglycemia) anyway, the chups made me feel woozy later on (i must've eaten a lOt) so i gave the rest to my friends.. wheo were, by the way, are closet lollipop addicts.. hehek.. it was just a simple act of generousity, yet i felt gratifed. i guess you'll just have to do unto others what you want others do unto you..

Mara

During the course of the review, the instructor must've noticed that we were all in the brink of "dying from boredom". So, she asked the class if anyone could give an intermission number. then it happened, people started to scream her name.. everyone was ecstatic...you could hear "mara! mara! mara!" from all corners of the review center. (of course, i shouted the loudest). Mara fidgeted on her chair, i think she had a feeling this was coming. after all, she is our favorite performer. she had been doing intermissions for like 3 years now and she is known for it. (she won CCMC's Britney Spears award on one of Mr. Surbi's Text Polls). at first, mara hesitated. i mean, it's really not easy to perform in public right? but then, just like a real performer, she obliged to the crowd's request.. We went wild.. for seven minutes, the review center became a concert hall where people were clappinng and shouting Mara's name as she performed a medley of "i kissed a girl" and "it's all coming back".. we became mara's superfans!!... we are all performers in our own way. we may have hesitations as to how to put on a good show, but just like mara, we must overcome them.. rise.. perform.. show them what you got.. coz after all, where we are performing at is the stage of life..

A birthday greeting..

happy birthday Jann marconn tudtud!! i really had fun during the halohalo session.. i learned a lot of controversies during our talk... hehek... i never knew how a three-hour conversation would reveal so many things.. i guess ull just have to expect anything anytime.. hehek.. and to the rest of the halo2 people (mic, sheila, brett, and the little kid) thnx for the nyt!!

Not feeling well

my day started out bad.. i had a cough and an acute attack of sinusitis.. i was not really feeling well (obviously). During class, my instructor called my name twice,that was because i was either half asleep or i was adrift.. somehow she managed to contain her patience (good for her). i didnt tell her that im not feeling well, i dnt like the attention. plus, i had a great chance of being sent home to rest, which i intended not to (that would mean an explanation letter, NOOOOO!). I wasn't able to concentrate during her lecture (sorry miss). i really had a terrible headache and i felt warm, really warm.. it was really weird.. it was a a good thing we had an activity, so i was able to divert my attention to the game, instead of focusing on my illness.

after the mid break, the "weird feeling slash illness" just vanished.. i thought i was just hyperactive and forgot i was sick.. but then, it never came back.. so the rest of the day went well.. (including the exam i took in the afternoon)

life is full of uncertainties, but it's up to you to turn it 360 degrees around. what happened to me was an example of how a day could start out bad but then would end up ok. because, like the class activity i had, life will give you situations wherein you will be able to divert your attention from the woos of daily problems. and just like my instructor, you will be able to encounter people whose patience u'll find very thankful of..
